Reflux Diary is made by Emre Demirel.

We read every message, and we reply as soon as we can.

Reporting a problem

Three things turn a report into a fix:

  • What you did, what happened, and what you expected instead
  • Your iPhone model and your iOS version, from Settings, then General, then About
  • The app version, if you have it to hand

A screenshot helps more than a description. Cover anything in it you would rather not share.

Questions that come up most

Do I need an account?

No. Logging meals and symptoms works from the first launch, with no sign-up.

If you do sign in, you can sign out and delete your account from inside the app.

What is free, and what does Pro add?

The diary is free. Log all the meals and symptoms you want, and read your timeline any time. Results are shown for your first 100 foods.

Pro shows results for every food you log, and adds the camera for dishes, menus and labels. Barcode scanning is free once you sign in.

Can I scan a menu without Pro?

No. Menu, dish and label scans need Pro. Barcode scanning is free once you sign in, and everything you have seen so far stays free.

Why does a food still say Tracking?

Tracking means there is not enough data yet. The app needs to see a food a few times before it says anything about it.

Logging the meals you felt fine after helps as much as logging the ones you did not.

Where is my diary kept?

On your iPhone. Your meals, symptoms, results, profile picture and dietary restrictions stay on the device, and we hold no copy of them.

There is no cloud sync and no backup on our side, and we do not offer a transfer between iPhones. If you delete the app, the diary goes with it, and we cannot restore it.

Does it work without a connection?

Logging, your timeline and your results all work offline.

A scan sent to the cloud needs a connection. A scan that runs on the iPhone itself works offline, on the devices that support it.

Which iPhone do I need?

iPhone. Requires iOS 26. There is no Android version.

Subscriptions, purchases and refunds

Apple is the merchant for every purchase in the app. That puts the three things below in Apple's hands rather than ours.

Managing or cancelling

You manage and cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings, at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, and neither does deleting your account.

Restoring a purchase

If you have paid and the app does not show it, use the Restore purchases control in the app.

Refunds

Refunds are Apple's to decide, under Apple's own rules. You ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

We do not process payments, cancellations or refunds. Write to us anyway if something went wrong, and we will help where we can.

The one-time purchase

One purchase keeps Pro. Scanning then uses your own AI key, or runs on the iPhone itself.

We do not sell or supply AI keys. You bring your own, from an AI provider the app supports.

You add the key in the app. Any cost the provider charges for it is between you and them.

Your account and your data

You can delete your account inside the app, in Settings. That removes your sign-in, your account and any cached scan results. Your subscription, purchase and scan accounting records are made anonymous, in a form that cannot be linked to you.

Without an account there is no delete control, because there is no account to sign into. Deleting the app removes your diary. Email us to have the session record on our servers removed.

The Privacy Policy sets out what we hold, why we hold it, and how long. The Terms of Use cover purchases and the rest.

What the app's results mean

The app matches what you ate against how you felt. It shows you which foods to watch, drawn from your own entries.

It cannot tell you what caused anything. Reflux Diary is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Talk to a doctor or another qualified health professional before you change your diet or your medication. Section 5 of the Terms of Use says this in full.
